Raymus Homes is looking for an exceptional salesperson to join our new home sales team in Manteca.
This isn't a "sit in the model and wait for someone to buy" sales position.
Our Sales Counselors actively build relationships, manage a pipeline, follow up consistently, ask great questions, solve problems, and confidently help home shoppers take the next step toward becoming homeowners.
We're looking for someone who is competitive, curious, organized, proactive, and genuinely enjoys selling. Someone who wants to know their product inside and out, welcomes coaching, and cares about the customer experience as much as the sale itself.
Why Raymus Homes?
Raymus Homes is a locally owned homebuilder that has been building in Manteca since the 1940s. Our company is built around Exceptional Customer Care, Superior Craftsmanship, and Community Investment.
We're not a national production builder, and we don't want to sell like one.
Our buyers have meaningful opportunities to personalize their homes, which means our Sales Counselors become true product experts—not simply order takers. And because we're a smaller local company, initiative is noticed, good ideas are heard, and you'll work closely with sales, marketing, construction, design, lending, and ownership.
What You'll Do
- Build relationships with new home shoppers and uncover their needs, motivation, timing, and priorities
- Tour model and available homes while helping buyers understand floor plans, options, homesites, financing, and personalization opportunities
- Actively manage a sales pipeline and consistently follow up by phone, text, and email
- Turn inquiries and visits into meaningful next steps—appointments, lender conversations, home tours, and ultimately sales
- Become an expert on Raymus Homes communities, floor plans, pricing, incentives, and available inventory
- Prepare purchase contracts and guide buyers through the sales, construction, and closing process
- Build relationships with local Realtors and brokers
- Maintain accurate prospect activity and follow-up in our CRM
- Stay informed about competing communities and local market conditions
You'll Thrive Here If You...
- Love sales and aren't afraid to ask for the next step or the sale
- Are naturally curious and ask good questions
- Follow up when other salespeople would have given up
- Are highly organized and comfortable managing a CRM
- Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Enjoy becoming an expert on your product
- Are coachable and willing to try new sales approaches
- Are competitive without treating customers like numbers
- Approach problems with a "how can we solve this?" mindset
- Communicate with honesty, professionalism, and integrity
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary plus commission.
Sales Counselors who achieve their sales targets can expect total gross compensation of approximately $150,000–$200,000+ per year.
Raymus Homes also offers:
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits
- Generous 401(k) matching
- Paid vacation and holidays
- Ongoing sales and product training
Qualifications
- Active California Real Estate Salesperson License in good standing
- 2+ years of successful sales experience
- Strong in-person, phone, text, and written communication skills
- Experience managing leads and consistent follow-up
- Comfortable using CRM software and digital sales tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company auto-insurance requirements
- Ability to work a full-time schedule including weekends
New home or residential real estate experience is preferred, but not required. We're open to exceptional salespeople from other industries who have strong relationship-building, follow-up, and closing skills.
Schedule: Five days per week, approximately 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., including weekends.
